In 1974, International Needs was founded with the vision to transform lives and change communities by helping Christians serve both God and neighbor within their own countries. 41 years later, that vision has grown to a partnership of countries in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. Christians all over the world unite to change lives for Jesus Christ. International Needs Ghana was established in 1984 with the aim of improving deprived communities through development and human rights initiatives.

Terry Heyward, Regional Director of Development, visited with the missions team in February and brought Edmond Vanderpuye to meet the team. Edmond is an International Needs leader in Ghana. He spoke with us about the need for wells and clean water in remote villages. He also thanked the church for its generous donations last year towards the well. International Needs also received a donation from a church in Ohio. Combined with our donation it is enough to build a well. In keeping with the water theme for our yearly mission focus we will be using the money to help with the clean water campaign.

Terry will be visiting our church Sunday, April 2 to give us more information on the water needs and also child sponsorship requests.

“Transformed lives and changed communities are truly accomplished only through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ is at the core of International Needs Programs. That is why the gospel is shared with all whom we encounter and why we directly support church planters and community workers throughout the world. Our areas of service include Education, Health, Economic Development and Food and Water.”
